I'm starting to realise, waaqoyi dialect is like the posh British accent and reer koonfur sound like the scouse or Geordies of somali. stop butchering af somaali :kodaksmiley:

I grew up in a multi ethnic neighborhood (hawiyes and daroods) and some of these words are brand new to me

laydhka dami. its direct traslation of english: turn off the light

whereas nalka dami is turn off the lightbulb.

Nal = light, nalka= the light, dami = turn off = turn off the light, gerrararararara here with your laydkha baqti (Laydhka dami is acceptable tho).
