Both State of Somaliland and Scotland passed an act of union with their southern neighbor. The difference was Somaliland's southern neighbor never ratified Somaliland's act of union. The trusteeship of Somalia also repeatedly violated the 1960 union law

East Sool residents have dont accept an inferior position in undemocratic PL. Not only is there no Hartinimo but you can say Sool residents have a superiority complex towards Garoowe regime how can anyone ask them to agree to accepting an inferior status in undemocratic system. Sool residents also resent that their seats in FGS are used to push a stealth secessionism agenda by Garoowe. All that trumps Hartinimo

Not similar as Somaliland is an independent un recognized nation unlike Scotland which is still part of UK.

Dhulbahante share more with their idoor neighbors and also cagdheer than with MJ that's why dhulbahante would rather be in Somaliland and rule with isaaqs but unfortunately political disagreements about fair distribution of power and wealth but hopefully when new JSL govt takes over those issues would be addressed.

Well you don't know the relations of northern clans have to each other Dhulbahate iyo Reer Sheekh Isaxaq share the same customs and traditions than any clan in Somali peninsula and they mostly intermarry with us especially Habar Jeclo who settle with them in Togdhere and Sool

At a basic level maybe but Scotland was a nearly millennia old kingdom that united by dynastic ties with it's neighbor to the south (England). They have their own language as well but it's died out unfortunately.
