Don't you ask yourself why the "Somali" community is so divided? Why is it, say Indians for example, with all of their diverse and distinct ethnic groups, can all rally behind an Indian MP and get them elected, but "Somalis" who are allegedly of the same ethnic group and heritage cannot seem to ever come together? Doesn't this raise fundamental questions to you about what exactly is a "Somali"? If Indians of completely different ethnic groups act more like kin than "Somalis" of the same ethnic group, then clearly something is amiss, no?
I'm also not trolling about Ahmed Hussen. Anyone who knows him and doesn't have a stake in his campaign will tell you the honest truth that he doesn't believe in "Somalinimo" and neither do much of those that supported him in his riding. He's just using that failed concept out of political convenience, just like that other user "Duchess" here. She'll call for Somalinimo when it benefits her Tol, but will discard it and ridicule it at a moment's notice. Even if she is apart of the blessed family, there isn't anything more I hate on this Earth than two-faced hypocrites.
Finally, Ahmed Hussen won without the help of the "Somali" community. Even if he could get all of their votes, it wouldn't have counted for much. He invigorated the community and is finally reaping the benefits of years of service to that community. I only wished he was more open about his true beliefs to the "Somali" community.
Do not spread lies on this forum you disingenuous prick. Ahmed is pretty open and transparent on his views regarding the Somali community, and he's openly pro-Somalinimo. Maybe you don't reside in Canada---or maybe you're just stupid---but in Canada it is pretty common to see politicians show love to their ethnic group while representing their multicultural constituents.
I know Portuguese politicians who are well-connected to their Portuguese community. The same I've noticed from Ukrainian, Greek, Jewish, Indian, and Polish communities in Canada. So why can't the same exist for Somalis? Why can't Somalis be authentically Canadian while also holding onto their Somali heritage?
Lol, kid you need to relax. I've known Ahmed and his family pretty well for a number of years. In fact, his wife is a distant relative of mine. I've talked with him numerous times. He's a hardcore Puntlander and Darodist, though he can get a little too big headed with the "MJ royalty" thing at times. He most certainly does not believe in Somalinimo, and the fact you think he does shows you know absolutely nothing about him and only spoke to him a few times as an outsider at one of his events/rallies. Of course in that case he's going to tell you what you want to hear, seeing as he is a politician after all. Ask Abdi Gaal on here as well. He's another guy who has known him personally for a number of years and knows his true beliefs. Despite all of that, I am proud of him and he certainly didn't need any of the help from stupid s. His sub-clan and maybe clan were more than enough to help him get into office.
Don't feed us this bullshit rhetoric. I personally know Ahmed Hussen, I've met him on numerous occasions and I've even visited his house. I'm well-acquainted with his wife as well, and I even supported his campaign.
Don't try your bullshit misinformation tactics on this website. There are people on this forum who personally know Mr Hussen and everything you're saying about him is inaccurate. Dude, you're probably not even Canadian....so kindly STFU.
You're the only one on this forum who is propagating this nonsense. Almost everyone agrees he is a big-time Darodist and qabilist, even Duchess who is perhaps his biggest defender on here did not defend him against these "claims". Not that there's anything wrong with being a Darodist or a qabilist as its completely natural, but let's just be honest and call a spade a spade.I understand that you're a reer Mahad kid, like him, and seem to be on this wadani dream, so it's natural you would defend him and make him look like a wadani like you. I'm truly sorry to say this, but the truth is that your big hero isn't the cool and progressive guy you were led to believe.

I have no emotional attachment to political candidates, regardless of how well I know them. If my own father was Prime Minister of Somalia, I wouldn't get defensive if people were to attack him. After all, this is politics.
But I find it strange how you're so emotionally invested in Mr Hussen, even going so far as to inject Somali tribal-politics in a Canadian Federal election. Most people who live in York South-Weston don't even know the difference between Darood and Hawiye, and the voters of that electoral district have a Somali population of only about 5-6%. The Somalis are NOT a force to be reckoned with in this riding, and Mr Hussen attracted the votes of a wide swathe of Canadian voters---especially Italians, Portuguese, Jamaicans, Indians and others.
These people supported Ahmed because they thought he was the best candidate, and he won. And now you want to inject your worthless filthy tribal politics into something like Canadian politics.
@Darod_Supremacy @AbdiJohnson is it true Canadian Somali Congress is also known as Canadian Omar Maxamuud Congress?

I never disagreed with anything you said here. Ahmed won the old hard way by working and invigorating the community, he didn't need the help of s outside of the connections of his sub-clan. I definitely salute him and his accomplishments, but let's be perfectly honest here. He's not at all a wadani nor a believer in Somalinimo. No MJ is at a fundamental level, and I don't say this as an insult but as a good thing. I wish my sub-clan wasn't filled with so many delusional wadanis and Hutu lovers.
Reer America and Europe need to catch up to us. We are represented everywhere from the prison system to the parliament.
Congratulations Somali Canadians. But we had our first Somali Dutch MP 12 years ago.Reer America and Europe need to catch up to us. We are represented everywhere from the prison system to the parliament.
I'm a loser? LOL, thats funny how am I jobless when im earning thousands in Xamar, your probably still taking ceyr from Ontario Works I bet your husband is one of those MJ khat chewers at Weston & lawrence Im living the dream in my country while you beg and eat the taxes of Jews and tranniesThis is first time in political office so what "post" are you talking about?
Just remember that your hate for Ahmed won't improve your life. You'll still be the same talentless, jobless, socially awkward loser you've always been.
