It was about remarks I've observed about the kacaan revising somali history to further 'darodism'. For example people keep mentioning that under the kacaan Ahmad Gurey was darod. Or that the negative aspects of the dervish movement was whitewashed.

This is just blatantly false, both my parents were educated under the kacaan (nether of them darod) and A. gurey was never darod, the dervish movement and its success and failures were outlined fairly.

I just wanted to know if anyone has any legit evidence on the historical revisionism under the kacaan.

@nucleus it's not something that can be summarized here. Xplaya on somnet made a thread about it that has been going on for 5 YEARS. It resulted in the kacaan pro darood camp just insulting him for being a gaal because of the hard facts he came with. I met old reer waqooyi guys that would laugh when I brought up the topic and say everyone in the north knew about the revisionism since many of them were direct relatives of the dervish

The two main historians under the kacaan were aw jaamac and idaajaa. If you read their works and do a comparative analysis to other historical works on the dervishes, the sayid, ahmed gurey etc...you'll see the clear bias
