I don’t understand the people that protest and destroys peoples businesses. If they’re angry at their government than do your best by not damaging people’s property. Crazy behaviour.
Somalis are native to Kenya.Anyways Anti-Somali sentiment in Kenya is a real thing they’ve genocided Somalis before for goodness sake!!
It's that there are a few criminals who are taking advantage of the protest. Most people are genuinely directing their anger towards the government.
Anti Somali sentiment has decreased over time. It was bad during the time of Moi back then there was a curfew in Somali cities and a heavy military presence because they were afraid of Somali nationalism.
These looting attempts weren't targetted at Somalis per se it was due to the national tax protests/riots

ur right but they should invest in their land. the NDF is a part of somaliwayne. Nairobi isnt if you think about it, they should pool their money in this land.
Most of this shops are in the downtown,they targeted everyone including Indian Chinese
You invest in a place where you’ll get a return of your investment and Nairobi is the best option with a huge population and resources.

For those who want Kenyan to fall, why and how will it benefit Somalis? If its just crabs in a bucket, then I'm not with it. I'd actually be interested to know.
Btw Kenya won't fall because IC loves it way too much, so if this level of anarchy steps up an inch they will make interventions to calm it down. Xamar in 1991 fell because IC were too busy cooling the flames of Ethiopia (and Kenya) who were both on the verge as well and are the golden boys of East Africa so had priority compared to the indigent Muslim Somalis. IC influences so much that if a country was to become stable tomorrow it would enforce a method to do so and if it remains profitable to benefit from their misery than it too will enforce a method to do so. Lets not be tricked by good governance bs. Kenyans are getting a cathartic "freedom of speech" period but this will all shut down and wither away after about a month, they'll get back to their normal lives again (exact same as BLM) without anything fundamentally changing.
