I know most people want to sing jolly tunes, and I want to give the Grand Ayatulah of Khaatumo the benefit of the doubt, this time round, lest he learnt a lesson or two from jousting with the devil, but still have reservation about his galvanising inclinations. He lost me when he let the late Dr Galaydh solely abuse people's mandate, misuse their trust, and usurp the Khaatumo leadership role, and take it to a hotel in Hargeysa under his implicit blessing. I can optimistically forgive, but not blindly forget his recent usurpation, and misdealings.

I never want to hear the bullshit that Somalis have the same culture ever again. I have never in my life heard of Puntite women going to other regions hunting for other men, nor have I seen them online bribing men like this. Allah forbid if they made a video like this, even for Dhulbahante men, it would be seen as a huge scandal.
In general it is seen as ceeb by us for a woman to make a man know she wants him.

Allah SWT, baa dumarka qaymo uu yeelay!! They should be the ones that men make gabays for and dance dhaanto for, men should be coming to their homes with gifts, that is the culture I know. I don't know what this culture is, but it's shocking and awful to see women being offered and advertising like this. They're literally pimping their women for their 'duriyad', but they don't realise that people will start seeing their women as having less value. Do they even care? Yaab anaga aragnay.
