Lads on sSpot hostile, rude to the ladies?

I am curious. I am noticing lads on the forum are so hostile, if rude to the ladies, and treat them as if lads. what is this new cultural phenomenon? what are the contributing factors?

We live in a society that actively tries to blur the line between male and female. They've long since done away with traditional gender norms, e.g., men being chivalrous and women being modest/shy. Many Somalis in the West are just products of their environment.

Not all families have a strong home-culture where children are brought up with tarbiyah unfortunately. Some are sadly easy prey/victims for the Western agenda.
The dilution of the family fabric is the root cause of most ills. Absentee fathers destroy families beyond belief.

There has to be an active movement to direct young people to education, and redirect them away from weaker cultures.

True, but do bear in mind we are treated as if the preferred immigrants, afforded certain benefits, only availed to supine Asians in the US, similar to the then "house negr***" whereas African Americans are treated as the farm peasants kept at bay, and out in the shed.

To put it in the right context, for example, If you and an African American apply for a job, both qualified, you are most likely to be employed. does that not elevate your social status far quicker than your counterpart? I think so.
Yeah right. My hijab might repel them :russ:. I'm dark skinned (black by those cadaan people's definition, you know that they don't really care to identify us by our ethnicity. To them if you got melanin, you just black.), a woman (less preferred than a man), and muslim (can tell by the hijab). I got a lot of factors against me in the work force hire. I'm not hating on my self. I'm proud to be a somali muslim woman, But I'm just want to give you an insight on how others (ajanabi) might see us. You do raise a valid point tho. The ajanabi that knows somali people will prefer to hire a somali person over a madow. However, most ajanabi don't really care to learn about and differentiate the difference between all people with dark skin (madow, somali, all different africans). We are all just black to them (and the women are just blacks with hijab). Therefore we tend to only get "house negr***" privileges, when they can differentiate the somalis from the madow, when they know we are somali and not madow. This privilege come from the better image that we have than the madows, which might come to an end with this gen since a lot of them (not all) act like the madows and will most likely tarnish our image. Thus the "house negr***" privilage might just come to an end. :manny:

I see what you mean. It too is possibly different for men, educated men, I might add, where we tend to have certain privileges over women, hijabi women to be more specific, by virtue of being a man. I have observed so many instances where African Americans would not make the cut in the interviewing process whereas others, mostly Asians, who could not even speak English are employed, and kept on the payroll. a rather messed up system.

In my experience of London, most diaspora Somali girls under 25 are either; likely on the spectrum & into K-pop/anime or they mimick Afro-Caribbean dhaqan. Thankfully my younger cousins are the former
I don’t know why this made me laugh. That has also been my experience as well. I’m still at a loss as to why they like these effeminate looking singers.

This is more a problem in Asia, mostly China, S Korea etc. In any major city in China, you can hardly tell the difference between boys and girls. At first, when I first noticed in the early 2000s, mainly in Shanghai & Chenzhen at its booming days, I thought it was my Euro-influenced psyche, but then quickly realised it was more of a trend, and as the years went by, it morphed into a full blown accepted culture.

Here is an idea: how about creating a boot camp for young men to be taught about being a gentleman? I doubt they would want to join the US military voluntarily.
Boot camp kulaha you want Farahs waking up at 5am in bunkers so they can say "yes ma'am"
You are looking way to into this walaal literally just go outside:gucciwhat:

AAAAAAAK! they acting like madow people! :jcoleno:gang, guns, and violence, are some of the reasons that madows have terrible and unsafe communities. The somalis that are born in the west are concerning wallahi. I don't understand why they don't want to embrace their own culture but act like the madows. We have a beautiful culture in west of helping each other. Building up stores, restaurants, masjids, clinics...etc We buy from our own people, sell to our own people, and invest money back to our somali communities. We've built some economic power. Within 30 years, we've become a force to be reckon with. These madows have been here forever and don't have ish to speak of! and that's because they are too busy killing each other, doing drugs, going to prison. They don't have a sense of community. Wallahi, I'm scared that when the older generation that immigrated here, pass away and we the ones born here take over, with somalis like them we might just end up like the madow communities. Ya rabi ya rahman. May allah prevent that from happening to us. :rejoice:
You guys are allergic to madows here
