We have forensic teams battling Rape

Alx but still no legislation. That's big because what that guy tried to accuse somaliland of actually happens in places with no legislation against rape like Somalia or PL, where they just marry the victim off to the rapist or the officials simply ignore the rape. Just until a couple months ago SL was in the same boat , thats why a need for legislation came about. Now the law takes presidence over cultural norms

Stop spreading fake news.

“The passage of the bill is a great victory and breakthrough for human rights and women’s rights as it is the first ever of its kind approved in Somalia,” stated Said, adding: “GBV, including rape, sexual assault, physical assault, forced marriage, denial of resources, opportunities or services, psychological and emotional abuse, is prevalent in Somalia.”

Another fake news thread. Somaliland has anti rape legislation, Somalia and Puntland dont.
What Tommy Robinson said isn't wrong.
It is a tradition that many Somali elders want to keep.
The fierce debate that is happening is good for us.It means the youths are getting involved.
A new anti-rape legislation is being welcomed with some opposition. That is just how it goes in a healthy democracy.

My bad I didn't know Puntland passed that law back in 2016. Someone should tell the citizens about that law since rape has more than doubled in Puntland

Let's read an exert from this New York Times Article

"The law — the first of its kind in the region — criminalized all forms of sexual violence. It banned gang rape, sexual exploitation and harassment. The result of many years of hard work, it had support from Puntland’s Ministries of Women, Development and Family Affairs, Justice and Religious Affairs, as well as from parliamentarians and religious and community leaders. There were predictions that it might serve as a guide for the rest of the region. When it was enacted, women like me who’d fought so hard for its passage were filled with a new sense of hope.

Slightly over one year later, things have turned out far worse than we could have ever expected.

Not only have there been few signs that sexual violence has decreased, but in the past two months in particular, cases of rape in Puntland appear to have spiked. And incredibly, in a majority of the cases that my organization, the Galkayo Center, has worked on, the men accused of rape have been members of the police force, military or marines.

Instead of serving as enforcers of the new law, these officials are actually perpetrators. They knew that they would not face repercussions, and some did not even bother changing out of their uniforms before committing their assaults."

In Somaliland, women are being raped as a result of extreme drought and lack of support

“Two days ago four men came, grabbed me and started raping me. Most women and girls in the camp have been assaulted or raped by gangs,” begins Hodan Ahmedan, 23, sitting in her makeshift shelter where she has lived since she arrived from drought-ridden eastern Somaliland to a camp for internally displaced in Maxamed Mooge, Hargeisa.

Cases of sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) are rife here. A lack of police presence, inadequate lighting, an absence of sanitary facilities and an increase in the number of female-only households has rendered this camp an ideal ground for SGBV. “The ground is really hard here so we can’t dig to make lavatories.

Why don't you link the entire article? It's because they are reporting on conditions in 1 refugee camp. Sad situation, the article even states SL security forces don't patrol the refugee camp

Meanwhile in Puntland women are getting raped in broad daylight by police, judges, Marine's, heck... everybody

"
Women and girls in Somalia's semi-autonomous region of Puntland who accuse police, army and marines of raping them are not receiving justice, campaigners said on Tuesday.

Activists from the Galkayo Education Center for Peace and Development (GECPD) said no one has been charged in three cases of rape which have been reported to the police since December, in which security forces are suspected of involvement."

Why don’t they patrol refugee camps? That doesn’t absolve them of the rapes it makes it worse.

An upsurge of gang rapes has hit the breakaway region of Somaliland – a normally peaceful enclave considered by many to be a sanctuary from Somalia’s decades of violence.

Knife-wielding young men follow women along the dusty streets of Hargeisa, the capital of the region, dragging them inside buildings to rape and rob them. Children are among the victims.

Stop using rape victims in your pissing contest.

A new anti-rape legislation is being welcomed with some opposition. You should be happy that mothers, daughters and sisters are receiving better protection no matter where in the world they live.

If a woman raped, her punishment would be so much worse. She would be killed while the man gets a new wife. Anti women bias needs to be crushed.

Incredible that a white supremacist who doesn't even know the difference between Somali's collectively insults them.

Yet the imbeciles on here that he is addressing are bickering over tribes, such a great shame.

No race on the face of this earth has raped more women then white man, their rape escapades have produced entire continent of people & racial groups.

They are the undisputed champion when it comes to child abuse/molestation's and paedophilia, even their saint Richard Dawkins was sexually abused by his teacher.

If we talk about murder, pillaging, genocide and destruction yet again the white male is the indisputable champion.

If I was from the same demographics as him, I would bury my head in shame and never accuse other people for that which I am the indisputable champion off.

But then again these people have no shame, I cannot wait for the day that I will face off against these cowardice cuck swines on the battle fields

Their collective cowardice is such that they only assault defenceless women and elderly men, the types of people we would spare even in the heat of battle.

The white supramacist sees no difference between u guys, he hates all Somalis regardless if he has a point or not. Yet u take his hatred towards u and redirect it to clan X, ur fellow Somali because of destructive clan loyalty. Then we wonder why we are in perpetual chaos :)
