Leopard are heartless creatures I don’t thinks he cares for the baboon baby, but I think he’s stopped eating cause he never saw baby baboon before. He is just curious about it nothing else.

I think it is one of those rare moments. We need a time skip to see how things turned out a year later or so. There is no guarantee that the baboon survived. Those large cats kill and eat other cubs from separate territories, so they are not compassionate animals by default within their species.
