Yes xamar, my awoowe on my mothers side moved there first and got a government job and he brought his wife my ayeeyo down there, my moms side are ciyaal xamar.

however my dads side remained in mudug for a while and my pops moved down with his uncle to pursue an education. Must’ve been in the seventies.

That aside, I think canjeero is the best Somali food. It’s delicious and versatile. Can eat it for breakfast, lunch or dinner and even with chocolate, cheese, shaah, or suuqar. I’m getting emotional just thinking about how great it is
