They would never accept a Somali from another region to rule over them, but would gladly bend over and be colonized by an Arab or Turkish Emir. A unified and independent Somali republic that is ruled by Somalis is just not possible. The only way to truly unify all of the Somali regions is if it is a province that is apart of either a khilafah or another nation and ruled over and governed by a non-somali. Forcing this unity crap when the people don't want it is like forcing a shoe that doesn't fit except the results are more catastrophic such as the loss of countless lives rather than a few sore toes.

Did you forget about the Umayyah and Uthmaniyyah already??? They ruled large parts of Northern Somalia and were part and parcel of their respective dynasties. If a future khalif can make an Islamic justification for it and those Somalis opposing him are against Islam then of course I would support it. Trust me when I say Somalis would gladly join a foreign khilafah especially if it is an Arab one. There was no conquest of Northern Somalia by a military campaign rather they willingly forfeited rule to both dynasties. Also when Somalis are completely dominated and subjugated by another group they carry no deep cuqdad and will gladly cede to their authority. When it is other Somalis do that things are different and the cuqdad is unimaginable as a result they will constantly seek ways of rebelling and dissolving the rule of the victors. This is a recurring pattern I've observed while studying the history of Somalis.
