What's your secret?
Am I the only who sees some elements of this story that don't make sense at all?
I'm mariin kkkkkOnce I feel asleep in the sun and when I woke up I had a huuge red mark across my nose
I couldn't tell at first because I got proper tan as well but when I looked closely it looked like I had put blush across the bridge of my nose loool
If ur becoming red without a tan tho then that means u are deficient in melanin u might need to have ur somali card revoked
If the temperature is above 85 I immediately get red. I think I need to go to a doctor even the whites aren't like thatdamn. i didn't know somalis became red in the sun.
What kind of a man boasts about his skin color kkkkkkkkIf the temperature is above 85 I immediately get red. I think I need to go to a doctor even the whites aren't like that
I usually boast about my skin color but I wasn't doing that right now. I'm very sensitive to sun light I'm gonna visit a doctor to see what all of this is aboutWhat kind of a man boasts about his skin color kkkkkkkk
The part where people of Hargeisa would use the terms "chinky" or "whitieee".what part doesn't make sense
Older Somalis like extremely light cakey face make-up and skinny black eyebrows.Only middle age Somali women tbh.
It was worse as a child. But even now I get comments about my makeup being too dark (it fits my complexion perfectly).
I don't think it's jealousy but more that lightness = beauty for these women. That's why overweight light skin women with unfortunate looking makeup are the only women news anchors.
The difference btwn what's considered beautiful now to back 1980s is just
Have you seen their makeup? Seems as though some of them think it's ok to fill their faces with white powder and then line their eyebrows with thick black eyebrow pencil it looks so hideous.Only middle age Somali women tbh.

Not me , my cousin is both really light skinned and has chinky eyes (kind of chinky not my dp chinky) she got verbally abused a LOT , in Hargeisa to the point of bullying and harassment they would refuse to call her by her name and only call her "chinky" or "whitieee" so all in all dark or light you get bullied. In hargeisa i basically stayed in doors the only time i went out was in a car, and even then i'm not as light as my cousin so i think i would have been fine.

Some light skinned Somalis I know look Pakistani. Like, quite similar to this skin colour.
They are probably cad-cad cause no ethnic Somali looks like that.
