I remember few months ago we invited some Kuwaiti warsangeli to my cousin house. We were discussing many things and then we started talking about Somalia and the Somali question. One of me cousins expressed his anger that warsangeli doesn't have a separate state. I told them there's an online state called Maakhir state . They all said to my surprise If that state formalise we are going to donate a proportion of our paychecks to it. I think now it's time to contribute to the motherland I will donate 25% of my paycheck to Maakhir.

Somali politicians move as if tomorrow doesn't exist and common sense is a curse. Like I've said a few times already, there is an implicit agreement to keep the number of states of each clan concurrent with one another. Somalis if left completely free will create town-states which wouldn't even have the economy of scale to even pick up the trash. On top of the obvious elephant of the room of the alienation of PL. Maakhir will simply be a pawn for HSM to use in his toolkit with his negotiation with Deni, with zero chance of ever becoming anything serious ala Gedo-state and Hiiraan state. SSC as a whole has a shot simply because it would allow for the turning Banadiir into a federal state, Awdal on top would help make SL a secessionist enclave.

Dhulbhanate and Warsangeli need to come together, have a powersharing agreement and work towards getting their region recognised. If these guys secede they'll leave with the internationally recognised british borders and they'll use that to strongarm them(Sool/Sanaag) into joining SLand as long as there is a strong enough incentive. To prevent this, Dhulo/Warsan should join forces, whether or not Mjs join the shir is irrelevant, they need to join for the best intrests of themselves and the region.

We all know that Culusow and Urur Sabool, will never recognise another Daarood State. This is nothing more than time-wasting, to try to divide, conquer, politically isolate etc, until the elections, and then, when another HAGIST wins, they will all get kicked to the curb. This has been going on for years. A federal state is a carrot that is waved in front of their faces, and it never results in anything.

Instead of holding meetings in their own deegaan, and being truly self-determined and self-sufficient, they allow Mooryaans to waste their time, over and over again. Ma daalaan miyaa?

That's what's truly annoying about all of this; the naivety of Daarood clans, and the obsession with Majeerteen to act paternalistic, as if we are their parents. Cut the damn umbilical cord. We have our own horgals to deal with.
