I still think negotiations will happen. No way FGS is stepping into jubbada dhexe this decade. With this operation, AS do not have access to the shore in J/hoose. Fgs should next get the coast of sh/hoose under control amd AS is effectively under siege.

I’m not sure I know madobe was meeting with US military leaders not long ago. Also ATMIs withdrawals still going, so maybe it’s do or die time and they taking initiative while support from international community still there. There was never a truce AS dont believe in that concept there has been incidents like this back and forth intermittently for years especially dry seasons

JLs capacity has just greatly increased post Farmajo with this peaceful era between HSM/Madoobe.

Pro government forces should clean up everything west of the Jubba and anything east (or north?) of the Shabelle. This leaves AS sandwiched between the two rivers. Would be a much more organised offensive as they’d have specific fronts to focus on.
