Puntland for example has manufacturing facilities were it extracts raw materials and export it to other parts of Somalia, like Mogadishu

It also has manufacturing facilities were they process limestones into building materials used to construct homes.

Concrete batching factories

They have a factory producing various types of pipes and wires in Garowe.

They also have factories in Mogadishu, Galkacyo, Burco, Borama and Hargeisa where they process raw local materials into building tiles.

WoW sxb you've opened my eyes to a lot of innovation our people are doing. If this keeps going in his the 15 we can stop improving goods and start exporting more. All now we need it's rock ore processing plant when it extract metals from the rocks. But good work :rejoice::ohhhdamn:

There is also metal processing factories in Hargeisa and Mogadishu
Hadiid Industries Group is perhaps the leading metal fabricator in Somalia. Since its 2009 launch in Hargesia and from 2013 when it launched in Mogadishu, this company has been the major producer and supplier of high quality precision sheet metal fabrication, as well as dabbling in welding and specialty custom rolling. The General Manager and Founder, Abdihakim Mohamed Ismeal is certain that his company is the leading in the country. He has good reason to think so.

Remember the electricity company BECO i spoke about that provides most of the electricity in south-central of Somalia, they invested in a local steel mill/plant. Called SomSteel LTD 3 years back.

This where America really popped off from once you have these manufacturing plants you can create everything. For instance if Mogadishu to SL and to PL they could have trains now that would make transporting good easier. All we need from the is good governess

They opened up a cement plant in Berbera 3 years back

Various cement processing factories has been set up from it, under Somali Horn Holding Group of companies

I mentioned in another thread that Ogaden opened up granite and marble making manufacturing industries

I made a post about this, i didn't even realize how many factories and manufacturing facilities were being set up across Somalia until i looked more into it. It also partly funded by diaspora invesments as well.

They do build factories, workshops, and hospitals. All hospitals are private , health care should be nationalized Inshallah.

In Mogadishu they built milk processing factories, they built pharmaceutical manufacturing factories. Puntland they built boat manufacturing factories, and are building a large fish industrial processing plant. In Somaliland they built a new cement plant, beverage factories

Those are the major ones but there dozens of factories just scattered around.

Mogadishu alone has like 23 factories and 33 industrial facilities

They also have steel and salt production factory in Galdmudug as well. Salt miners in Puntland and Gedo actually earn a decent wage. Gold miners too, all they need now is investments, processing facilities and better equipment.

I have said it before private businesses are a good way to draw in capital that can be invested in industries and factories and infrastructure and it shows.

Since that reporting is from 2018 and only includes numbers from Mogadishu, so we may be looking at a sizeable number that is growing nation wide.

It's a remarkable achievement when you think about the fact that we lost all our state owned industry following the collapse in 1991 and now they are all being picked up again and replaced by local privately owned industries and that it is almost entirely self-funded through local and diaspora investments.

All the manufacturing sector needs now is a growth investment to expand production and become exporters beyond domestic consumption, Inshallah

America similar to china has the worlds largest gdp because they achieved western development on a eastern scale largest population after India while becoming being a high income economy is a phenomenal feat the fact that they have 45 trillion worth of natural resources and plenty of warm water ports on the pacific and gulf also helped

We need to foster in our culture a strong “go big or go home ” mentality we need a Somali Henry ford and Sam Walton

Regionalization is supremely better than globalization you must establish strong economic ties with out neighbors and come together in blocs so we can better compete with the big countries
