HSM supporters trying to decide if Ethiopia is the enemy of friend of Somalia

Translation:

"After reading the explanation of the Ankara agreement, I was able to understand the following regarding the parties directly involved in the issue and the additional information collected:

Although it was not explicitly stated in the joint statement, Ethiopia renounced the agreement it had signed with Somaliland. Somalia, on the other hand, changed its stance and no longer insisted on the withdrawal of Ethiopian troops from its territory.

The agreement with Somaliland implied Ethiopia's recognition of Somaliland as an independent state in exchange for access to ports and maritime capabilities. The Ankara agreement also implies Ethiopia's respect for Somalia's sovereignty and territorial integrity, while Somalia permits Ethiopia to use its ports.

In essence, the Ankara agreement grants Ethiopia usage rights to the ports without ownership. This means Ethiopia can lease or contractually use ports in Somaliland or other countries under mutual agreements, consistent with international laws such as the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS). This aligns with prior practices, such as Djibouti's willingness to lease the Port of Tadjourah to Ethiopia.

In summary, the Ankara agreement restores Ethiopia's relations with Somalia to their previous state before the January 1, 2024 Somaliland agreement. The diplomatic cost paid for this reversion raises questions.

A nation led by impulsive desires rather than well-grounded plans risks damaging its national credibility. Learning from past mistakes in this matter and acknowledging the losses incurred can help prevent future errors."

It was a diplomatic success from Mudane HSM, look at the Oromo expansionists crying. Only NN and failed Madoobe supporters are decrying this historic deal :rejoice:
Nigga what historic deal, hobyo port logistically can’t supply Ethiopia even with investment there’s no infrastructure. They wanted Berbera/ awdal and they got it. Only niggas benefitting from this deal are landers and Ethiopians and this is jus gonna bring them closer to each other economically

Where did you come up with this rubbish.

There is nothing in the press release about the MoU

Just the same thing about "we respect each others sovereignity"

Did the same thing before with UAE Saudi about DPW Berbera which you guys shouted about saying no DPW for Somaliland and laughed

Does anyone have access to Africa Intelligence?
Looks like they have a new article on France helping Ethiopia with its new naval base in Somalia.
