The MOU deal was about a naval base in exchange for recognition. It seems HSM doesnt mind an Ethio naval base as long as it goes through him and he gets his cut.

You are taking the word port too literally. I’m well aware of their stake in Berbera. I’m saying they will probably still get a naval base in SL so that they can completely surround Somalia and have multiple points of entry to the sea and complete control of Somalias coastline.
