I've been thinking the same. My family are nice thankfully but I feel like I cannot grow in this city. I'll never change if I don't leave. But studying at home and saving up feels like the best solution for my future.
If your family are okay and safe for you to stay with, I'd suggest taking some time to bolster your savings. My opinion is that you should have enough for 6 months of rent and and the down-payment. A little extra for emergencies too and a stable job/source of income. This sounds like a good ideal if you have time to plan.
If you need to get out now, secure a job and start looking for shared rooms or bedsits. You may be able to find cheaper. Live cheaply and save as much as possible while young so you can push your savings up as quickly as possible. I hope all goes well for you!
