And Ethiopia has many things to offer to Somalia, such as cheap electricity and transportation and logistics hubs.
But the path that Addis Ababa has taken with this MOU assures a mutually destructive outcome for both countries. The only difference is that, more than most countries around the world, Somalia knows how to survive โ and even thrive โ under a comprehensive state failure. Ethiopia, on the other hand, wouldnโt be able to cope with the resulting conflagration."

Are you serious now? What do you think Ethiopia would do if Somalia tried to do a deal with the Oromo for the mountains where our rivers start. In exchange Somalia will recognise Oromia and they'll get a share on future Somali Airlines.
I mean, not the worst idea.
Ethiopia would just continue it's normal day to day affairs because it's an empty gesture. No other country would recognize Oromia. What is Somalia so afraid of?
