Musa gives Ethiopia a port and a military base on the Gulf of Aden. It's over

The international community strongly condemned SL over what it did in Las Anod. If they resume fighting SSC I think SL will suffer a diplomatic backlash

That war with SSC was SL’s first taste of bad press. I’m pretty sure the UN made comments condemning it, and the BBC even stoped including SSC on SL maps afterwards

War is coming.
Yes I must agree. Alt right Ciise propaganda has convinced ppl samaroon never lived in Zeila when in reality they have been settled there with @Garaad Awal people for atleast 300 years. Here is a source from the 18th century. "There are basically very few settled Somals, but Gadabursi and Habr Awal in particular who achieved modest fortune through happy speculations, settled in the city or live there for at least part of the year as permanent or occasional agents of their wild brothers..."View attachment 309581
They never had any coastal settlements. These people know nothing about the sea. They only seen the sea once the Europeans arrived and Djibouti was established by French

The organised celebrations make me think this is more blackmail on the FG than anything else. Why would they celebrate this hard for a non binding agreement otherwise?
It could be one of the MPs just said as much. He said when we had no govt and no power Ethiopia made no moves on our ocean . But now that weapons bans been lifted, debt forgiven and country making progress they do this, he said Ethiopia has agenda to halt progress

I never imagined in 2023 where everyone has evolved to Somalis to give away their land/coast freely to an enemy nation :snoop:

This is a new low for the Somali race..

Since when did Zeila historically belong to Samarone clan? Zeila was shared between Ciise & Sacad Muuse. Samarone historically were always a landlocked clan and only in recent times moved to the coast
Wow, does boorama belong to isaaq too, please start doing unekeh leh all over Awdal, so samaroons can see your true colors, we Samaroons have been too passive,

They're our eternal enemy.. Their move will unite Somalis even further.. f*ck qabilism, we need to get our acts together otherwise they'll just claim our lands one by one, they won't stop in berbera, it's only the beginning for them.

Stop the cap walaal. The coast belonged to Ciise & HA and we have British sources mentioning the back & forth destructive raids between various HA subclans & Ciise. Many of these groups eventually migrated to Djibouti which also has a heavy HA population and most of these derive from the coastal clans.

Zeila region (inland area) has Samarone but actual coastal settlements of Samarone only occurred after the establishent of the French in Djibouti as a bustling economic centre
Where are your sources?

Zeila has always been an important trade hub for the Samaroon, the decline after the establishment of the train line from Dire Dawa to Djibouti cemented its decline.

Why would the French and the English argue over it and come back to us for deliberation?

My Subclan means coast.:lolbron: :lolbron: :lolbron:

Since when did Borama become a coastal city. Stick up to makeup tutorials. Awdal coasts have never had Samarone settlements untill the coast was depopulated due to population movements to Djibouti. Zeila the city was historically always dominated by Ciise.

HSM gave measured response no mention of Ethiopia being kicked out of country. Guess his focus is Al Shabab war and maintaining momentum.

he also stated there is no recogniztion to be had from Ethiopia

my last piece is that Abiye and Ethiopia don’t have issues getting freight and material into country there is plenty of available throughput in Somali and Djibouti ports. The guy is so entitled that he doesn’t want to spend 1.6 billion dollars in fees. He believes a nation of their size should have free access to sea. If somaliland thinks all the Djibouti fees will go them I would be very wary. He made it clear he sees free access to ocean as right

It's an MoU- a non binding agreement. Any xabasha leader could've made such a deal anytime since the 90s. There's a reason they choose to do it now that for the first time ever since 1992,
a Somali authority is recognised as the sole ruler of our sovereignty and trusted with buying any type of weapon. We have to understand this from their perspective. A united Somalia is a threat. SNM, USC,SSDF all of them were trained, funded and operated from their territory. They reached their goal with the fall of Somalia and had no reason to make strong moves in the country, other than keeping the status quo and the balance of power between the qabiils.

Now there won't be any balance as the FG will have a conventional army that'll be able to safeguard it's territory. Even when the FG chooses not to confront SL there will be SNA planes making reconnaissance flights over that area. In the end it's in our own interest that we don't kill each other being played as pawns IA.

Just as I said last night, this is much more than a port and SL. The mere fact there's a gov who will have more power than any group in the country and could safeguard it's borders is a threat to them.

Ina Qotiyow, when has Qoti Muse ever seen Saylac? The only time you were close to seeing Saylac was when Samaroon destroyed and slaughtered an entire caravan of 23 Habar Auals near it. And they were probably of Ciise Muuse stock and not Qoti Muse stock. :pachah1:

You can suck up to the Ciise at the expense of Samaroon but must I also remind you of the times Ciise ransacked and slaughtered entire Habar Aual villages.

Anagu waan isnaqaana but we've never committed such brutality against eachother.

2500 Eesas attacked the camp: men, women, and children were indiscriminately put to the spear.

The British government wasn't willing to interfere in tribal warfare but they ended up sending a force of 350 men consisting of mainly Pajeets to save your futo. Imagine being saved by Pajeets :cryinglaughsmiley:
