Muslim men should look Muslim.

I agree with all the points said, i think this is more prone to being an issue with men because less is required to cover up making us more susceptible to copying them in attire as @HiraanBorn pointed out earlier but we do need to wear more islamic clothing

Informative as always, jazakallah khair

But the statement clearly says there is a distinction that needs to be accepted. Otherwise, Allaah swt would not have mentioned it at all.

You could argue ALlaah swt meant each sex has its strength & weakness.

Womens weakness is they are an object of Mans lust. A man can randomly have lust seeing a random woman in the streets, follow her, rape her and kill her.

Now of course, this can happen to a hijaabi woman, but the chances are very low. and there is no temptation of naked hair
Hold up a minute, why do you keep thinking us men are just wolves in human skin?

Like damn, there are plenty of law-abiding decent men out there like myself, who don't see women as something weak and susceptible to prey on.

You have a very overly-pessimistic view about men, that is frankly insulting tbh. Talking about following innocent girls home and raping them kulaha. Do we look like Indians to you? :gucciwhat:

I am talking about the nature of the men. (and nature of the women at the same time. lol Things unsaid are things said. lol)

Even law abiding men can do damage. They shukaaansi legit way, players. Look at poor @Alluring They gone give her STDS, break her heart by countless ghosting & dumping, so much she became bitter. Now we need exorcism to help her :(

Okay I get where you are coming I think, but still that only accounts for a small percentage of men. The nature of men is something that is variable and it can't be generalised really.

Just like you can't generalise all women as gold-diggers, who only love a man's wallet. I feel for that sister @Alluring but the man who treated like that doesn't represent all men.

Plus, you women have brains that are just as capable as a man's. There's no difference in intelligence between men and women, so women should use their intelligence to discern good men from bad men.

However, often times you girls like bad men so when you get treated badly you have no one but yourselves to blame. You reject good men and go for men who treat you like crap so.... :manny:

It's not my problem you view good men as weak and unassertive because that's simply not true, but according to you it is.

Ok My dear @HiraanBorn I am sensing alot of pent up issue & frustrations u have with women. Lots of rejections? Confusions? Jilted Lover? I mean, do u want to squeeze for my 5 o'clock appointment? I can professionally be your therapist. :)

Thank you for your concern abaayo, but I don't have pent up frustration towards women, I love women deeply and I sympathise with their plights.

I'm more frustrated with myself than anything else, I don't blame others for my shortcomings truly.

I have been in a few relationships, but I'm mostly basing my views on things I've observed in other people's relationships like my parents and my friends.

I agree with you. My belief is that they’ve chosen to not look visibly Muslim because they don’t want their lives to be too hard. It’s a privilege to walk the street and not be attacked and abused for being Muslim. People who berate those already getting it from all angles (Muslim women) instead of standing up for them and protecting them are weak. Most Muslim men lack dhiig.

Sikh men are literally getting more confused for Muslim then Muslim men themselves. What a sad state the male gender are in wallahi.

If you can't give up the skinny jeans at least look out for Muslim women and children in public spaces.

Why are you guys acting like Muslim men don't already? Muslim women get attacked not only because they're Muslim, but because they're women. You're an easy target.

Somali men are the only sizable group of men that to some extent have the privilege to be seen as a thug instead of a Muslim.

Why is this woman in your dp photo so depressed and pensive? What is she thinking about? Who wronged her?

Why do you feel bad for me?

My pants/trousers are at the ankle or a bit lower below ankle. Love the length to blend into and hug my shoes. Never wore a khamiis in my life and I have zero plans to do that. I never liked that form of dress from childhood. I liked the head gear - cimaamadda - occassionally to feel pious a little on eid days. And it felt pretentious anyway and fake when I did. I like how I dress as male and i dress for myself, to feel good and look decent. Last thing on my mind when i look at my reflection in the mirror before exiting the house is what someone might percieve by looking at me walking down the street or riding on train. No one is tasked to judge my faith based on my appearances and dress.

Men are not supposed to drag their clothing onto the floor basically in Islam because it gives the impression of meaningless santaag. Other than that, lowering pants above ankle nor sporting long beard makes someone pious or mu'min. For those who display such sunnah outwardly, still only Allah knows the sincerity in their heart. We acknowledge their efforts but Allah rewards people's intensions, not us the onlookers. I am not favoring them over average muslims no matter their level of education and piety. To me, All muslims are important as long as they are not displaying or engaged in animosity towards their own kind.
