Can someone explain if the Ethiopian-Adal war benefited anyone? Didn't it just end in a stalemate where neither side gained any additional territory? I think both sides were severely weakened after the war which allowed for the great Oromo expansion.

This is similar to the way the early Muslims were able to conquer the Middle East. The Byzantines and the Persians were weak after warring with each other, making it easier for the Rashidun and Umayyads to defeat them both in battle

I am not saying to hide our history, I am saying that we should be mindful with how we talk. Even the Djiboutian gov't will sell us out for Ethiopia. Eritrea is our only ally against Ethiopia
