Hassan really isn’t that politically astute. He spent his whole term trying to push through a pointless constitution instead of focusing on SSC+Maakhir and helping them to form a FMS. That could’ve been an easy way to upgrade Banaadir’s status with little pushback while also putting pressure on Somaliland. I get why he was hesitant to provoke them pre-MOU but there’s no reason to be playing nice anymore, unless he secretly believes they’re going back to afisiyooni and wants the Dir votes (hint: they won’t be enough)

Cabdiqaasim(HG-ceyr) was part of the Manifesto group and supported the presidency of Cali Mahdi against his fellow clansman Caydiid. When he came into power Villa Somalia was occupied by HG Sacad who didn't forget what happened in the past and refused to work with him.

So he had to make his temporary presidential quarters in the Number 4 Hodan area.
