Prime Minister Xamse Launches Development Projects in Laascaanood

Laascaanood, 13 April 2025 – Somali Prime Minister Hamsa Abdi Barre and SSC-Khaatumo leader Cabdiqadir Axmed Aw-Cali today laid foundation stones for major development projects in Laascaanood, including:
1.SSC-Khaatumo Presidential Palace
2.Immigration and Citizenship Center (Laascaanood Branch)
3.SSC-Khaatumo Police Headquarters
4.Sayid Maxamed Technical Training Center
5.A tarmac road linking Samakaab and Buuhoodle
6.Various SSC-Khaatumo administrative offices
7.National Emergency Response Center (SODMA)
8.SSC-Khaatumo State House Hospital

These are the most significant federal-led development projects in the region in over 40 years, marking a historic step in governance and public service delivery.

HSM doens't care about anyone else. He believes in unitary state from Mogadishu. SL is just a bigger fish I guess he wants the bigger fish because that's nice and SL is causing him some problems. He has to spend effort trying to stop Somaliland recognition.

I don't know if SSC will fall for his plans. It depends how much money and resources he gives them now and what he promises them in the future.
Invite them to NCC make them feel like one of the guys. I think SSC is easy.

It would be very stupid to ally with HSM, the man who doesn't control more than 2 kilometers outside of muqdisho city borders, the man and his administration is a total failure, it would be very naive to be fooled by his promise of few projects which won't even come won't be materialized due to the FGS all eating corruption, in my view I see the visit as last desperate resort of having somewhat a legitimacy over Somalia, and to rollout the failed one man one vote after the many failures in the south including the Jubaland fiasco... But let's if the people of SSC fall for the donkey administrations charmings on their last desperate attempt to show some legitimacy in Somalia.

There hasn’t been any conditions to this. SSC hasn’t allied with FGS in any of its policies or actions. People need to stop making assumptions.

He came to Lascanood on the good will and invitation by the Khatumo administration.. I'm not against him or any other FGS official visiting Somali federal states or uniting the people.. But the FGS leadership especially the smiling donkey have a very poor track record of corruption, mismanagement and a tendency to create conflicts as we've seen Jubaland.. This is why many of us lost confidence in their leadership.
