We don't care about these paper declarations. PM of Somalia stepping across the border and arming militias in Eastern Somaliland is the real provokation.

Somaliland claims it's independence border which includes SSC region(Laascaanood). If Somalia says I have an administration in that region I don't think that's tipping the scales for anyone in favour of Somalia if they were going to recognize Somaliland. It's not going to change anyone's mind either way.

They could say there are people there that support Somalia that is kind of the same thing, building an adminstration there is not adding any extra legitmacy to their argument.

And anyway this mostly internal politics for FGS. It's like not even mainly about Somaliland.

You need to learn what de jure and de facto means already.

Just take the L and salvage what you have. SSC isn't worth jepardizing any possible chance at recognition. They are gone now and everyone can see that.

You can believe what you want but neutral observers see some pro-somalia sentiment in that region but recogniton would knock the wind out of that pretty quickly. FGS doesn't have any footprint outside of mogadishu and couldn't hope to establish one inside Somaliland.
