Bro, there is research done already in how to farm in dry, arid and semi arid lands. They have the list of crops that can grow in East Africa's arid landscape. That won't be a problem with a proper investment and willingness on the part of Somalis who inhabit there.

A more pressing issue is how to stem this non-ending unjustified clan priorities and politics that kept Somalia on its knees for too long. When you address one issue and one group of Somalis, another steps up to do the same thing. At some point, Somalis need to decide to go to war against anyone clearly standing in the way of recovery.
