Puntland elections is getting serious. All puntites in eyl-qardho-ufeyn must register themselves and get their voter id. This election outcome will decide which 3 parties will be registered in puntland. This is a important stage of puntland's democratization, it will determine which parties are legal and illegal.

I think Kaah-Horseed-Mideeye will come out victorious in these trial run elections and be registered as the 3 official parties of puntland.

Guddiga ku meelgaarka ah ee doorashooyinka Puntland (TPEC) ayaa maalmihii la soo dhaafay ku howlanaa ololaha wacyigelinta iyo tababarada shaqaalaha diiwaangelinta iyo kuwo korjoogteynta.

Sidoo kale ururada siyaasadda Puntland ayaa degmooyinka ka waday wacyigelin la xiriirta diiwaagelinta dadweynaha.

That makes sense we can't set up puntland parties without all regions participating, as puntlandpost states, who-ever wins these elections in ufayn-eyl-qardho will not be legal parties untill all puntland districts participate. The purpose of this election is simply to trial run elections and ensure there is no hiccups and then roll out a proper puntland wide election. It made no sense to me 3 districts decide what will essentially be the legal parties in Puntland.

Puntland will gain a lot of legitimacy from holding elections and its politicians having the mandate of their people. The democratization of Puntland will be the biggest political event in Somalia since the creation of the TFG.

I want to see what each party offers puntites in term of what their security-health-education-infrastructure-job creation-taxation policies are. Right now I don't see much campaign happening nor do I see a website with their policies.
