I've never seen any Puntite who wanted to secede from Somalia in real life. The first time I heard this was on Somalispot.

If Somaliland didn't gain independence (which it probably will never get), why even bother?

I think the West would actually be relieved as would many neighbouring countries.

They are trying to find a solution for us but we should seek it ourselves!

All Puntland needs is help extracting and selling its natural resources and we would easily become one of the wealthiest and peaceful nations on earth.

We have oil, onshore and offshore, a massive coastline, the highest wind speeds on earth (renewable energy)
