I do not believe it is sacrosanct at all it's mainly used as an argument for seceding. Since the international community can't refute or deny in a way that Somaliland was once a country that was recognized it further solidifies their claim. British colonialist also had a huge part in making the borders not only in Africa but all over the world and I believe that this current Somaliland government and past ones are using that to their advantage to control or in the future take control of the disputed areas.

Do I think it is okay to take over and occupy people that do not want to be a part of Somaliland, I don't! I think there should be a vote for those in the disputed areas if they want to join or be left out.

Do I believe that this will happen, no. Simply because of the resources that can be found in Sool and Sanaag such as oil, that alone will make the Somaliland government use the fact that their claim outweighs the people's wish to not be a part of Somaliland.

I disagree with this and it pretty much reminds me of the Israeli occupation of Palestinian land.
So the government of somalilands wish outweighs the wish of the people, can't one argue then that somaliland is a dictatorship?

It's not really their wish it is the claim they have on that land that they will abuse. I doesn't change the fact that Somaliland is semi-democratic. I told, you my thoughts on it, there should be a vote for the people that live in the disputed areas.

If a vote can't be done then somaliland has a right to take it by force against the wishes of the people of those regions cause the land was given by the British who didn't own it to begin with, I'm sorry but that sounds like a dictatorship to me.

It is not a dictatorship since they have elections but the word that fits the situation better is oppression. It's oppressive to disregard the people's wishes.

I guess in that sense Somaliland would be considered oppressive and occupiers.
