Qabiil VS Somali State

Do you guys sincerely believe that qabiil & the state can co-exist with one another? Lately, so called "patriots" have been making excuses for qabiil & they argue it's an essential part of our identity. Personally, i believe the current qabiil federalism is very unsustainable & the states will remain independent in all but name. We Somalis have a tendency to place out-dated qabiil above Somalinimo & if that continues then our fate as a nation won't end well. It's either we abandon qabiil to form a united state or fracture into mini independent Somali states that will be played by foreign powers or could potentially be annexed by the Habesha.

It's not that simple. Qabiil will always be used by sinister individuals to further their interests. If we get rid of qabiil from the collective memory of Somalis, there will be less reasons for people to fight one another. For example, King Salman spent most of his life resolving the disputes between the clans of the royal family, the only reason why full blown clan warfare is not ripping them to pieces, is the financial benefits the senior leaders dish out to the elders/youth. They used the same tactic to avoid being dragged into the Arab Spring.

Somalia is doomed. There's a serious disease within us when a person who was brought up in the west can spew hatred and tribalist bile having never set foot in Somalia. Somalis are a failure in these West and back home. They fall behind all other ethnic groups in education, income and wealth. Our country is a laughing stock, even among Africans, who themselves are the laughing stock of the world. Everything they touch turns to crap. They have some of the highest broken homes and divorce rates of any immigrant group, let alone muslims. Their sons are filling up prisons and their daughters are becoming harlots.

Just give the land to Ethiopia or Kenya, they will most likely use Somalia's vast coastline and resources for something productive. Only a group of humans with the IQ of great apes can starve in a country with the largest coastline in Africa and two major rivers. Only a monkey with nothing in between his ears can laugh at a person from Somaliland when his sister is being passed around by AMISOM and Alshabab is blowing his family to pieces. That kind of cognitive dissonance is supernatural.

The Koreans and Singaporeans and Japanese changed their whole society (culture and beliefs) and they used the top-down approach to quickly modernize. For the Japanese, it was just a cabinet that changed the country. I see no reason for a few Somalis to do the same.

The masses are stupid, impressionable, easy to exploit, and always will be. This is the case in every nation. Divisive rhetoric will always work on poor people who are suffering, people like to unload their misery onto someone else and shift blame, this kind of delusion is what keeps them going. This isn't something unique to somalia though it's the case for masses anywhere and everywhere. Anyone who hopes for that to change will obviously become exhausted. What we need is good leadership. People to drag the stupid masses back out of the abyss. Once they can do that and provide the basic human fundamentals, people will not have the will to fight and be divisive. I not only believe this is possible but inevitable for somalia, inshaAllah.

Well in the midst of chaos there will be a winner & it'll most likely not be Somalis. The Habesha, especially the Tigrays are smart folks who will ensure they have a stable & united state if Ethiopia ever disintegrates, can't say the same for our people.

I'll say Stoogenimo is a bigger obstacle to progress than the qabil identity. You can be a person looking uplift your community without harming others whereas a stooge doesn't give an iota about his people and will only care to fatten his wallet.
