So ok guys let me get to my question. I am being genuine here so please easy on me . Educate me. when said barre is talk about people either love him or hate him? give me a lesson.

He was one of the influential Somali individuals who put us on the map; with that said, his ascend to power was questionable and he's the reason we're in the political deadlock we seem to find ourselves in to this day. An extremely confusing character, a living juxtaposition if you will.

I would also like to add that a lot of people tend to hold him in high regard simply because of what happened after he was overthrown, he killed a lot of people and I mean a lot of people, but there was a lot of thought and calculations that went behind the killings, not justifying it by any means but politics is a dirty game. What ensued after by the Hawiye and in particularly Abgaal and HG was just mindless and unpredictable, people were dying everyday for no reason, pure anarchy. The reason being the people who overthrew Barre (A mixture of qabiil) didn't have a plan in place in terms of what happens after they topple the Barre regime.
