With young Somali nationalists- or wadanis- I can't help but feel sorry for them. They have yet to realize what others have long ago.
So long as the people that destroyed Somalia continue to hold positions of power, we will continue to be the "failed state" Western society designates us as.
Let's be honest here. Half of our parliament can't read and the other half bought their degrees from AliExpress. Every single political seat is bought with illicit funds and they care more for their calool than their countrymen.
How could you possibly faan about rising GDP and beating Kenya online, whilst a terror organization takes taxes from MPs, colonels, and shopkeepers alike.
Nothing wrong with loving your country and being proud but we have to be realistic.
Believe it or not, I never lost faith in Soomaaliya.
But security should still be our absolute number one priority. Anything less is nonsense.
