You can't let moments color your worldview like that. Instances give us lessons, maybe perspectives, but they don't need to monopolize our relations with people entirely.

As a darkskin Somali I can't relate . Everyone knew I was African. In fact I got along with a most of the Africans I went to school with as a teen.

I went to majority white + south Asian school growing up all I got was ooga booga monkey jokes, I was thinking in my head these people don’t know am landheere.

I think in like year 10 people figured out what a Somali was (i think it was an IG post about somalis got a big forehead). Alx my forehead was small because at this point I was top dog of instigating and people were looking to get back at me.

There was one Lightskin Ethiopian guy in my year That nigga used to larp as a biracial. I felt disgusted man
