Ku sali nabiga {scw}
My cadaan chemistry teacher from sixth form a year ago recommended this book to me as it is one of his favourite books. It is called “Rivers of London”. It has one of the best somali lead characterswoman called sahra guleed whos also known as “the secret policemens daughter”.
what brought this post to the general section instead of the book section is the biography of her character
“Guleed recalls that her childhood home in Somalia had marble floors, servants, and a green Mercedes. She and her family fled from Somalia to the UK for an unknown reason.”
This made me sad and realised this is the reality of most somalis who fled the war. It may not have been as splendid as hers but most lived a modest, safe, comfortable life.
