I think we were too harsh to Farmaajo and N&N.
Farmaajo robbed as well, look at him living comfortably in Qatar, only difference between the two is that farmaajo pushed this whole “wadani” patriot line whilst he hoodwinked the people, HSMs mooryan genes are too powerful and thus he’s not as adept when it comes to politicking and making Machiavellian moves.

Farmaajo didn't involve his family into politics nor did he demolish neigborhoods.
I guess you could say he’s better than HSM on those counts, but he did try to entrench himself in the presidency, skew the federal nation building process, and picked fights with puntland and jubaland. Here’s the thing though, hiraab only wanted him gone because he wasn’t hiraab, the rest of the opposition had solid non qabilist reasons for wanting him gone.

Farmaajo had a real vision for the country.

He just used the leftover campaign money

Farmaajo had a real vision for the country.
He went about it the wrong way, no consultation with the federal states, he didn’t understand that he was a caretaker president, simply meant to oversee the process of nation building, not some trailblazer maverick “I’ll do whatever I want” type of president.

for his sins though, he was better than Gurgurte, though I don’t think you can count that as a major achievement. Gurgurte is genuinely up there with siad barre.

Bro we don't trust Farmaajo, we don't trust anyone who tries to centralize the power and extend their period.. If a leader is genuine with pure intentions he would consult with the federal member states, form a good relationship with them and try to get everyone on board with his vision..But Sitting in some bunker in muqdisho guarded by UN paid gaajo african mercenary soldiers and trying to dictate your vision to federal member states won't get you far.. So no Farmaajo wasn't that much visionary.

Farmaajo was anti federalist and he was trying to centralize the power and extend his term beyond its limits.. I'm not saying Qoslaye is any better, they are both terrible in their own unique way.
I kind of like that about him. Twenty years of federalism, and we almost have nothing to show for it collectively.

His biggest issue was that he moved too fast and had made too many enemies too early. he should've focused on consolidating the states he controlled and building SNA into a powerful military/security force.

Well the federalism isn't working well because the tfg leaders keep on trying to dismantle it while they ignore the shabaab terrorist who control much of the south.. So you can't really blame the federalism system.. Federalism works fine for stable and functioning states like PL.. What would you even gain from pushing centralism onto federal states? More conflicts? We as PL won't give up our demand for federalism, it's that or we go our seperate ways, you southerners can have all the centralism you want..
