Russia won’t gain anything from this. Ukraine is huge, almost the size of France and Germany combined. It has a population of 40 million people, the population is very anti Russia. You can’t occupy 40 million people. Russia will come out of this scarred and severely damaged.

He is not going to occupy them. He will destroy their military. He now controls their airports/seaports and powerstations.

The Ukrainians have been going on killing sprees since the 2014 coup, they believe Eastern Ukraine should be void of any Ethnic Russians, they even banned the language and arrested/tortured anyone with a slight pro Russian stance, so far 8 million Ukrainians have fled the country, Ukraine is effectively a third world nation.

The problem is once the dissolution of the Soviet Union occured, some parts of Russia were to be added to Ukraine as a gesture of friendliness, unfortunately the kiev regime overstepped their boundaries, they had 8 years to accommodate the guidelines set out by the Minsk agreement, Putin had enough.

Dude! The game plan has been revealed by the US intelligence.
Russia will take control of all the country’s vital installations. Suffocate the government. Then install a client.
Russia wants no part in entering cities to fight. They know it would take a toll on them.
