It seems the final campaign is going to begin and within the ashes of this war a new world will be born.
How serious could this possibly be? Ukraine isn’t worth shit!

1. If Russia wins the war no doubt it will broke Ukraine's accesion to NATO and EU.
2. Russia shows the Western world that they will no longer stand by and watch NATO expand to their borders.
3. It's a huge popularity boost for Putin. If any world leader wins a war they will recieve a massive boost in stability and power. Look at Azerbaijani's Aliyev for example.
4. Russia can move forward with plans for the CU.
5. Putin goes down in the history books as the first President since the formation of the RF to incorporate former USSR territories back into the nation.

How much of Ukraine will Russia incorporate into the nation?

That's what the US & the West as a whole want you to think of this war. Yes, Ukraine isn't really that significant but the aftermath of this conflict will embolden the big enemies of the West namely China and Russia. The geopolitical order as we've known it is changing before our very eyes and with it will come even greater conflict.

The conclusion of this war in Ukraine is going to start a chain reaction the likes of which haven't been seen since the Second World War.

I don't think they'll stop there because the amount of troops they have amassed (around 500,000) seems to point to an offensive of a much wider a scope in terms of area.
Beautiful. Let the world fight amongst itself. They’ll forget Somalia even existed. We can quietly store up our strength and rebuild without meddling countries.

Russia in all likelihood aren't planing to take over the whole of ukraine. Doing this will run the risk of administrating a territory filled the rebel insurgent with a never ending gorilla wars much like afghanistan and a huge number of weapons supplied by nato from neighbouring countries.

Russia needs to take over enough land the it can use as a buffer territory against any possible nato incursion into the heart of the russian federation. They would also take over all strategical position to secure their presence and most likely appoint a puppet government to administer the rest of Ukraine. Key territories probably include the Ukrainian coast and the water source deep inside ukraine. They might even be planning to connect to moldova where you'll find russian allies.
