Putin is treating them as his own citizens remember he was part of USSR and Ukraine was simply part of Russia lol. I think he will just install a pro Russian administration and leave only a small number of troops behind. With Ukraine secured I highly doubt he will expand further.

The russian troops are not hostile towards the civilians because they see them as their own people. And they are. Russians and Ukrainians are both Slavs. They share the same religion, culture, language, history, traditions etc.Thats why there isnt a mass slaughter.

gamal abdel nasser/mohamed naguib was the 1st egyptian president. i dont think you should harbor alot of hate. they took in south sudanese refugees and give them university places. also the red sea is an arab lake if not for the christian habesha of eritrea. so youre right somalis are an anomaly because of the red sea.
