I'm not saying it's more valuable, but logically Ethiopia can get what ever it wants without going to war over it in Somalia, so I was thinking more logically, Eritrea is stronger than the fragmented Somalia nation and Ethiopia is weak so naturally they wouldn't go to take an Eritrean port by force, we'll maybe in the long run when they establish a navy and enough military muscle to they probably would.

The only viable port for ethiopia is the zeila one and the fgs wants to give them the other ports why ? Becuase they know logistically speaking it's basically impossible for ethiopia to build a navy or actually a control a port besides zeila becuase of distance (all the other ports are way too far away)

Compare this with assab which is 20 miles from the ethiopian border and located next to toe afar region which is loyal to the ethiopian govt. Also it already has infrastructure built by ethiopia decades ago. Vs zeila which has no infrastructure and would require huge investment.

My suspicion is that the somali ports are basically an excuse to cover for their real goal of assab.

Amhara fano are getting access to addisababa before Ethiopia gets access to sea, it's true somalia is a failed state that can't resist anyone but Ethiopia is no longer different than somalia, they are just another failed state, that's why the tiny Eritrea is harassing them on a daily bases and occupying parts of its territories and araps are buying huge swathes of its fertile lands cuz their president is just another hassan dhiiqo that needs to stay in power so bad
