Somali bantu are our people in the south. They are not foreign to the land. If we go by historical account, they have been there for couple hundred years now.
Moreover there is a theory that some communities like the shiidle, Makane, kaboole and Aytire are native to the riverine regions and arrived during the bantu expansion thousands upon thousands of years ago.
Shiidle themselves have preislamic names like “waaqbiyo” making their origin even more complicated as it shows that they have an ancient presence in the land.
Another theory is that these names were actual somali names. Over time through marginalisation they intermarried with somali bantus. They are somali in essence genetically however they also have a large amount of bantu dna in them. As we go by their patrilineal side, they would be somali ethnically just mixed.
I personally genuinely do not think they are “bantu”. I think they were just hunter gatherers or another group that happened to be there before as somalis reached the most southern tip 1000 - 2000 years ago which really isn’t that long ago. I could be completely wrong though.
Replying to your post, Somali bantus are somali regardless of ethnic background. The question I think that needs to be discussed is “at what point does a person live long enough in a land to be a native”. Before us, hunter gatherers or proto nilotes roamed the land. Before that maybe khoisan related groups. Before that, Palaeolithic Hunter Gatherers. They have lived amongst us and will continue to do so.
on top of that they could teach us their way of living such as farming and growing different crops. We really need to move away from pastoralism. I can guarantee you if us cushitic somali were in the south completely at 100% with no non cushitic neighbours, the whole place would probably be desertified.
