Shiekh puts an immodest sudanese woman in her place

Never said that, stop putting words in my mouth. I said that if a woman chooses to let every guy on the block see her body then I blame her mostly because she could have prevented that harassment. I'm not saying that its ok to harass women but that if a woman refuses to abide by the dress code outlined by the Sharia then she is shooting herself in the foot.

According to your logic a woman can walk outside without a single article of clothing and it is not their fault if they get harassed. I never said she will bear the sin of the mans misconduct, rather that she is mostly to blame for inciting it with her dress.

“O Prophet! Tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks (veils) all over their bodies. That will be better, that they should be known (as free respectable women) so as not to be annoyed. And Allaah is Ever Oft‑Forgiving, Most Merciful”

[al-Ahzaab 33:59]

In this verse Allaah mentions here the command to His Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) to tell his wives and daughters and the believing women to wear hijab, and it mentions the wisdom behind that, which is so that they may be protected and not exposed to annoyance.

When women go out showing most of their bodies this is one of the greatest causes of crime and corruption of men’s morals, and of the spread of immorality. It is also degrading for woman, as we see women becoming cheap products for business-owners and advertisers, who show woman half-naked and devoid of modesty in order to attract customers and market their products.

Ibn Abbas reported: A woman would pray behind the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, who was the most beautiful of all people. Some men would come early to be in the first row, so as not to gaze at her. Some of them would come late to be in the last row. When they bowed, they would look at her between their limbs. Allah Almighty revealed the verse, “We surely know who comes first among you and We surely know who comes last.” (15:24)

Funny how when I brought you an ayah from the Quran you just ignored me. Also that hadith does not prove your point at all, nobody here is denying that Islam commands men to lower their gaze, but you are denying that women have any responsibility when they are harassed. It is very clearly outlined in surat al Ahzab that the believing women should cover themselves to protect themselves, therefore if an uncovered woman is harassed it is mostly her fault, that does not take away from the sin of the man, but she is also at fault.

Yeaah... if we're talking about a half-naked woman, then its hardly misogynistic, and is kinda obvious to say that it is a major factor in sexual harrassment? @Halimak
In an ideal islamic society, muslim women covering up and observing modesty, and men lowering their gaze and observing modesty, establishes clear boundaries between men and women in society, where if it weren't in place would cause so much corruption like you see today like the brother mentioned.

You can see what happens in societies where there are no such boundaries for example in the west. I mean we always talk about third world countries but have you seen the data on sexual harassment in the USA??! 2019 it was at an all-time high... Generally, its obvious that societies that are immoral and promiscuous in nature like the west, women are subjected to much greater sexual harrasment, prostitution, domestic violence etc, the numbers are rampant.

There's a clear link between the two (yes, it sadly can also happen in muslim countries, there a wide array of factors after all)

Because I cannot be bothered to go back and forth with you.
