People like Maya Jama and Chef Roble are able to get citizenship but if I was to be happily married to a Indian or a black or an cadaan guy, my children wouldn't be somali even if I instilled the deen and somali culture to the point they see themselves as members of the Somali community. 50% of my kids would be somali and the same with Maya as she is HALF for example. We live in a time where dads run from responsibility rather than raising their kids but I'm not saying all dad's like that but there is an increasing proportion now so they may not even bother teaching their kids their abtiris and qabil hI story so how would that work

Look you have made a good point but have used to disgusting person as an example maya that is.

What we are saying is somali are people from qabils living in all somali lands. Therefor for us to say your somali you would have to belong to a tribe. We don't tell you who to marry and we ask that you dont tell us who who should have a right to a somali passport. Furthermore if we allow half somalis citizenship because their mon is, somebody could make the argument that they are born in somalia and they too should have citizenship. How about we have a two tier system. Just please somali women that marry out. Children with somali mothers, people who have lived and worked in somalia will be granted a citizenship but not like the one full somali get. Their will simply allow to fly out the country and if they stay away too long it will expire. They wont be allow to run for office or hold any public position. Education will not be free only emergency health care will be free. They are allowed to build homes but not own land. This helps to keep track of who is what in somalia.
