I'm on Ethiopia's side in this case. Fat Arabs should stick their fat Arab business and not destabilise an already volatile region.
How can you be on Ethiopia's side when they are planning on damming our rivers (Jubba and Shabelle). At least Egypt has an agreement with Ethiopia, but they are saying that they don't care about us (a downstream nation) because we don't have an agreement with them.

I hope Egypt bombs and kills as many people as possible.

There is no such thing as permanent friends, only permanent interests.
This guy has an irrational hate for Arabs. Ethiopia wantswant Somalia to be weak yet he is opening his arms for them

Ethiopia can be dealt with, it's influence is through Somali weakness. One wrong move and it can be toppled. We can't deal with trouble-making nations like Egypt and UAE as they're further away and have more resources.

1. Ethiopia wants a weak Somalia, Egypt doesn't.
2. No such thing as permanent friends, only permanent interests.

Did you read his post properly:draketf:
He doesnt want Somalia to be any more volatile :draketf:
And you want some bootyclapping bombs, as if that'd fix our country:draketf:
Who in their right mind asks a volatile country like ours to participate in these childish games:draketf:
It will backfire for us and the egyptians will carry on with their lives:draketf:you dont see them helping us now do you:draketf:

Our main enemy right know is Ethiopia and the enemy of my enemy is my friend the Ethiopians are building dams like crazy the jubba and shabelle rivers already dry out in dry season imagine what will happen if a dam is built

I'm confused, are you saying the produce of Somali farmers from Bay iyo Bakool is being sold in Ethiopia or are you saying AID is being stolen from those regions and being diverted to Ethiopia?

They could farm wheat, sugar that we imported them daily from Ethiopia instead of useless guava.

I don't trust Ethiopia either, but if I had to choose, I would choose them over greasy treacherous Arabs who only come to us when they need support.

Make no mistake, the people in masr are historically our friends. I don't hold the sisi government in a favourable view but once the people get back in power then good things will come for somalia

Ethiopia is a aggressor they can't keep their fingers of their neighbours, Egypt partnership is extremely valuable. Ethiopia meddles in our affairs and even has the balls to ask port revenue. Egypt can be a stepping stone back to a strong Somalia. For years we have been partners with Ethiopia and what do we have to show for it ?

Still no reason to bootyclap Arabs

A weak Somalia = a strong Ethiopia.

A strong Somalia = balances the powers.

Egypt wants to weaken Ethiopia and influence Somalia, that doesn't necessarily translate into them wanting a strong Somalia. Seeing as they've done fuckall to create a strong and stable Somalia, why would I suddenly believe they have our interests at heart?:drakewtf:

Some of you have an illogical obsessive love for Arabs and it seems to get in the way of clear pragmatic thinking. I do not like Ethiopia in any way, but there is such a thing as pragmatism and self-interest. Ethiopia collapsing is not in our interest, Arabs influencing our politics, planting troops in our country and using Somalia as a proxy in a war we do not benefit from is not in our interest.

Some of you need to grow up and learn how to critically assess things.

The Jubba river never dries out, it's basically 3 rivers that join on the Somali border, but they are planning on building a dam near the Somali/Kenya/Ethiopia border under the guise of IGAD.

Imagine, all three of the borders are inhabited by ethnic Somalis, and the Kikuyu and Habeshas are benefiting from OUR river given to them by the British.

And you got people screaming "Hey, Arabs are not nice". Do these people not know what the big nosed apes and raw meat eaters are doing in Somalia? If I had a nuclear bomb. :icon evil:

Dont we all say the same for Turkey, what has changed?:draketf:
Some things work better internally, we dont need 4783844 tonnes of foreign support, otherwise we will never learn:drakewtf:

Who told you Egypt wants a strong Somalia?

They offered in 2014 to HSM to rebuild Somalia army and accept 7,000 Somali students in Egypt's universities (instead 200 students yearly right now ) and rebuilding the old military centres that were destroyed in the civil war, but HSM rejected the offer.

How can we deal with them? Did you see how they sabotage and cook this security plan with UK?

They use this hate for Xabesh to disguise their Arab bootyclapping:chrisfreshhah:

Ain't no Arab nation got our country's needs at heart, i dont know who they are fooling

How can you learn if you can't even read ? Look at what Turkey has done for Somalia in five years! We need forgein support to rev up our enigine and increase the know how of our citizens.
That's the cold reality.
