Mahad Canbaashe and his local militia are well known. They have been with the SL troops since the Adhicadeeye/Las Anod days.
They are estimated anywhere from 250-300.
They're well known but their numbers are disputed. My Dhulos friend told me they're close to 3k.

The entire SL army in the East was less than that until the recent surge.
Somaliland or Isaaq would never arm and trust 3k Dhuloz. It is comical number.
They are less than 500 men who are lightly armed. I was told that heavy weapons are not even given to them because no one trusts them.
