No he is not trolling. This has to be addressed. Somali clans like Daarood and Isaaq believed they are Arabs and acted Arab. They claimed to be of Arab descent and toyed with their own lineages to make them match their lies. Siad barre said at one point that daarood are descendants of Magaadleeh samale and Isaaq were known to be Dir by their elders (DNA proved both claims) but both clans had Ana Carab wannabes and started making up lies about us being Arabs and the result is a flood of ciyaal casiir who believed that. Btw most of them are going back to Somalia when their parents sponsorship is no longer valid and they will spread these lies like fire.

Did Siad Barre imply that darood were descendants of Magaadleh Dir? From what I remember there is no direct son of Samaale named Magaadle.

It is not Daaroods alone although they lead the pack of the insecure somalis. All somali tribes claim to have Arab lineage. Issaqs iyagu they took a notch up and claim to be Syrians. Daaroods settled for some yemeni called Jabarti.

The main reason for this stupidity is lack of knowledge of their history and how Ethnically Somalis existed always in the horn as natives. The ancestors that gave birth to Somalis and some other horners spread outwards to Noth Africa becoming the Pharoahs, Southern Europe and to the Middle east. So the claim should be the opposite and that some Arabs with EV32 lineage are actually somali children.

Afwayne destroyed any sense of pride among somalis. There was no meaningful history taught in the schools.

2. Mismanagement of water and grazing resources

I really think the truth would set Somalis free and make them more relaxed around each other. All we will have then, is different political ideologies, and that we can resolve through the voting booth.

Our only 'beef' should be Centralism vs Federalism vs Confederalism vs Independence. Not qabiil x vs qabiil y.
