We need someone from Somalia who understands our country by growing up in it and identifying with it's struggles on a personal level not just a politician who's a decent analyst. Anyone can do better than him I'd personally vote for Jamal Cismaan.

What Somalis need is one group to emerge and take the charge of understanding the importance of Soomaalinimo and understanding that Somalia is where are hopes for a better future as people lies. Kinda like the SYL!

I honestly believe that the youth that has been born and breed in the diaspora have a pretty visual picture of our main problems. I've grown up seeing Somalis flee to Sweden, Somalis search for a safe haven yet at the same time beat each other down because of qabiil.

I've seen Somali girls run to Sweden because they want access work and education, access to a secular state yet a the same breath bet down and call Somali women who have their hair out s.

I've seen young Somali men get recruited to ISIS because of lack of a stable strong community that places our ethnicity, culture and tradition first instead of religion.

We have so many factors we have tackle. We are not untied at all. And we need a strong leader. Fresh ideas and people who are not afraid of pointing out or issues. Most elderly Somalis avoid these topics. How are we gonna rebuild our nation if we are not willing to solve our problems?
