Somali Muslim leader gives a rhino to the ruler of Makkah

No one is lying. Mahfouz is paternally related to Gragn who is known to be Karanle. This is agreed upon by scholars.
I have a new relative, who is from Babile and she has about 6% Ethiopia and Eritrea, her regions are mixed Somali, Oromo, Addis Ababa, Harar and Eritrea. Its pretty interesting. Who are the somalis that live in Babile?

the somalis that live in Babille are the Babille who are oromo by origin but were assimilated into the somali.

if a pure Jaarso Oromo from Marar took a DNA test in this situation it would turn out ti be somali because Maraar is in the Somali region. because quote ''ancestors were from these regions''. the ancestors of the Akisho lived as far as the coast and if were to take a dna test it would say the same ancestors from the somali coast,

your relative is probably an Oromo

I just received a message, her maternal side is part somali and part yemani from babile and yeman, her paternal side is from Galmudug, so she is 3/4 somali with 1/4 yemani.

So there are many somalis assimilated like jarso in babile. Do jarso live in babile

For Harar & Babili if we talking about Somalis only. Largest to smallest

Harar
Karanle
Sheekhaal
Darood
Dir

Babili
Karanle
Gugundhabe
Darood
Dir

The Hawiye sides of Harar are all Hawiye as its the original homeland but majority karanle and gugundhabe, those guys are largely hararised and oromised, many somalis that lived in harar region escaped in the menelik and haile selassie era, so darods and oromos focused on their state capitals like Goday and Addis Ababa. But harar city and some of its immediate vicinity near the older parts of the city gidir magaal has Somalis of all bands living there, its a former capital so there are some who returned or remained there indefinitely.

Babile is the name of an Afran Qallo Oromo tribe originally. They settled in the region last few centuries neighbouring mostly Karanle Hawiyes. It became a city name over time. If you see Baabili written anywhere it’s usually Hawiye like Karanle and Gugundhabe. The small population of babilis in djibouti are those 2 clans, similar to kenya if you include ajuran.

Her Mtdna is M1a2. But for Ydna, she will need to test a brother/father or uncles from her side
I was asking because there is one Karanle cousin on this forum. She has connections to both Baabili and Galguduud. She has J1 through testing her brother

Yes I know your cousin is J1, but I think this new relative on my list got her result on 9 Dec 2023, pretty sure she is new to dna.

the Babille settled there before any somali presence. his eldest son is Hawiye.
