If this was an official government thing I’d understand But it’s pretty clear we always do our own thing no need to get mad over internet slideshows
No walaal f*ck them ethiopians are a sneaky rat faced people, if they want give the land back or suck it up Somalis shouldn't be 5th columnists when half the land is ours. This isnt so much about a 'reddit' post but the sentiment behind it.
We dont care if they include us or not, took a brief look and they included eritreans just goes to show their true intention. A couple users even pointed this out, anyways no somali should be begging to be added. I dont think any true somali did that, they are just pointing it out. Its mutual, they know galbeed isnt apart of ethiopia. It was a completely null deal. No somali views himself as ethiopian, eritreans dont either.
Honestly Reddit is a terrible website in general.

No its a barbaric backwards tradition that should be put out of prominence in somali culture like what happened to the scots clan system reduced to people repping patterns on clothes as a little token.
they’re nothing like us, their clan system was abolished very easily because there wasn’t much of a clan to begin with, it wasn’t lineage based, just the primary lineage of an aristocrat ruling over estates and his tenants/workers from who knows where.
There is nothing inherently backward about it. Somali kinship system functions on economic basis for support and distribution/sharing of resources.
It will be less and less relevant to people , when their basic needs are met and they feel safe.
It doesnt matter I hope somalis abolish that uncivilised system and its reduced to irrelevance
How come clan wars were prevalent in the 1800s? It doesnt matter if there is peace or not that system is old and may have worked in the past but in this modern day and age its backwards through and through and somalis should have transitioned from it a long time ago yet we havent.
Tribe and clan is identity why would somalis abolish it

Ethnicity isn't identity
Lineage is identity who are forefathers and who your decent from is identity
Also how to know if someone is somali like Ethiopians claiming to somali like some oromos claim to be somali
