Alhamdulilah my mum and dad weren’t like that may because were young when they had me. But I noticed it with other families. Afar iyo labatan saac buuq for nothing. They’d comment how peaceful our house was growing up despite having 12 people. The mental anguish buuq causes is under estimated but then again most Somalis back in Somalia are not really educated even at the most remedial level.

It is just frustration. You have to be patient to deal with kids. They don’t know how to deal with them so they lash out, plus most Somali kids are hyperactive. When I was a kid I was very hyperactive and now my son is hyperactive. Waa caadi. You can’t just yell at them all day, kids don’t really care. You just have to value them and teach them morals and good character. But if you don’t have good character then you can’t really teach them. They’ll learn from somewhere else cause they don’t respect you.

Hurdada ka kaac. Somali women almost never get along. They have very fraught relationships with each other. These women are feeding each other cake iyo balaayo.

All these stories involve girlfriends who picked the guy to get married to. The guy is just a cover. They refused separate weddings and houses. Something Somali women dream of from childhood. They are lesbians!

Not all polygamous marriages are a cover but the ones with the two women choosing the man are very very obvious. Lol
