There's no oil and if there's anything the profit from it won't benefit the Somali citizens.Lets invest in a sovereign wealth fund in US and European stocks while only using portions of the profits, the Norwegian wealth fund style.
It’s self hate mixed with them being losers in their own lifeI think some of you get a weird type of pleasure out of the idea of somalia never improving and the people never being able to hope for a better future. It's honestly quite disgusting.
Somalia isn't poor or in this bad condition because of money. It's because of the filthy leaders we have. No one will want to improve his country when their leaders are robbing themI think some of you get a weird type of pleasure out of the idea of somalia never improving and the people never being able to hope for a better future. It's honestly quite disgusting.
How do you think it's going to play out the next election with thee oil money coming throughThe biggest change oil revenue will bring . Is that it will make somali politicians more ambitious. Now that they have money to do what they want instead of being reliant on foreign countries.
I dont think people realize how much this will change thr political calculus of future president's. Before their hands were ultimately tied since without money how will you go against ajanaabis who fund your govt
Massive amounts of lobbying. The decline of foreign interests dominating political candidates, greater autonomy, still corrupt but as someone mentioned before politicians will be more ambitiousHow do you think it's going to play out the next election with thee oil money coming through
How do you see a Hassan Ali khaire presidencyMassive amounts of lobbying. The decline of foreign interests dominating political candidates, greater autonomy, still corrupt but as someone mentioned before politicians will be more ambitious
Just look at Nigeria…How do you think it's going to play out the next election with thee oil money coming through
There's no oil sxb.. Beside Somalia is full of other resources but niggaz are too low iq to utilize any of the resources be it at sea or offshore..Just look at Nigeria…
Nigeria isn't really a good example. Neither is Angola or really any of the major oil producing african countries. These countries all began oil production in the 60s. Do you know what africa was like in the 60s ? Basically nobody lived in cities forget about running water or electricity. Probably no more than 5- 10% of the pouplation in these countries had even gone to primary school at this time. Or were even literateJust look at Nigeria…
Yes but I meant the oil didn’t really make a difference for them, and I highly doubt it will make a difference to the life of the average Somali.Nigeria isn't really a good example. Compared to somalia in 2025 where basically several times better on all of these metrics from literacy to urban pouplation to acess for water and electricity. Even our infrastructure as shitty as it is is simply not comparable to africa in the 60s
It actually made a huge difference for them. Basically till 10 years ago. 90% of govt revenue in Nigeria was from oil. So from the 60s always till like the 2010s everything built or done by the govt in Nigeria was through oil money. It's impossible to imagine how much worse everything in Nigeria would be without oil money. They even fought a war in the 60s and killed a bunch of igbo to prevent them from leaving Nigeria since that was where the oil was produced.Yes but I meant the oil didn’t really make a difference for them, and I highly doubt it will make a difference to the life of the average Somali.
